INHABITAT

I've found another blog I like. It's Inhabitat. Their articles feature a spread of design innovations that bring sustainable options to every day life.

One of today's feature articles is about how Nokia plans to reinvent cell phone charging by using radio waves to keep phones charged in standby mode. Researchers are aiming to channel enough energy from radio waves to keep phones charged while in standby. Technology is not advanced enough to be able to bring the phone to full charge or keep it charged while in use, but this idea could help increase the charge life of lots of different types of devices. In addition to this method Nokia plans to employ solar fuel cells. if you don't want to wait more than three years for this technology to be released by Nokia you could always nab yourself one of these.

That's right, it's a solar powered bag. Available in various styles and sizes and convenient for charging your cell phone or iPod while you're out. You definitely need a job to acquire one of these babies though, it's quite pricey. There are also a lot of other neat green type products on their page. Cute clothes too. It is good to know that there are places you can go to get all kinds of products for better than they would be from other manufacturers.

I like Inhabitat for letting me know about large scale green projects that are going on. This lets people know of all the great ideas that are out there doing better and it's not totally depressing like a lot of environmental sites can be.
